What is the Qefy app?

Qefy is a web app for organizing and playing media you save from the web—videos, playlists, podcasts, courses, and more. You run it in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. The optional Qefy browser extension is the quickest way to capture links while you browse and send them into your folders. Native apps and more platforms (including TV and in-car) are on the roadmap.

2. Understand the default folder system

After you sign in, Qefy shows a fixed set of system folders. Learn what each one is for before you add your own folders.

System folders (always visible in the sidebar):

Recently addedNew saves land here first so you can triage them quickly.
DoneMove finished or watched items here to keep your active queue clear.
TrashRemoved items stay here until you delete them permanently.

These three folders are built in and cannot be deleted. You can still create unlimited custom folders for your own structure.

Tap + New folder at the bottom of the sidebar to add your own folders. Drag folders to reorder them the way you work best.

3. Add media and links to your folders

Save URLs from inside the app so everything lives in one queue—no scattered bookmarks or tabs.

Prefer capturing while you browse? The Qefy browser extension is optional and usually the fastest workflow.

Qefy web app: Add URL to Queue dialog with link field, clipboard, and destination folder

Tap Add URL link to open the add-link dialog. Paste a URL manually or tap the clipboard button to fill from the clipboard in one tap. Choose the destination folder—it defaults to the folder you are focused on. Shortcut: Command+V (Mac) or Control+V (Windows or Linux) pastes a URL directly into the current folder. After you save, Qefy fetches title, artwork, and other details for the link automatically.

4. Use Qefy on phone, tablet, or desktop

Qefy runs in the browser, so you can open the same workspace on a large monitor, iPad, or phone without installing a separate desktop app.
