Remote control

Keep control close, even when playback is elsewhere. Remote control lets you steer playback and queue flow from another device or tab.

What is remote control?

Remote control lets you manage playback commands without switching focus to the primary playback tab. When one device is playing (the executor), other devices can send commands like play/pause, seek, speed, stop, and next.

Remote control tutorial: step by step

1. Start playback on an executor device

Begin playback on the device that will run the media (often via the browser extension autoplay flow). This device becomes the executor.

2. Open remote controls on another device

On a second device (or another tab), open Qefy and look for the remote playback controls. These controls are designed to work while you stay focused on your current task.

3. Send commands: play/pause, seek, speed, stop, next

Use the remote control buttons to adjust playback. This is ideal when the playback device is across the room or on a dedicated screen.

4. Keep the queue clean while you control playback

As items finish, mark them done or advance through the queue. Remote control works best when paired with a clear folder structure and default-speed settings.
